Jonesville Cub Scouts Present New 2007 Programs Jonesville’s Cub Scout program began on schedule in the fall of 2006; however due to Hurricane Rita the Organization has suffered some timing delays.  The great news is that in February, they will celebrate the National Cub Scout’s birthday with a Blue and Gold Banquet. In March the Calcasieu Area Council will conduct a Cub and Dad Camp out, at Camp Edgewood. And then, even more exciting for kids, a “Pine Wood Derby” race in will be hosted in April. Your child has time to participate. These are just some activities local Cub Scouts enjoy.  Sign up today!   Get Ready for Mardi Gras! - Coming Again to Jonesville on Feb. 10, 2007 Jonesville to host its annual Mardi Gras Parade and festivities. The Town of Jonesville kicks off its Mardi Gras Celebration with an old fashion Chicken Run starting at 8 AM at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 1600 Horridge Street.  The run will be followed by the Jonesville Mardi Gras Parade beginning at 2 PM on Horridge Street, with line up in front of the Jonesville Middle School. The Parade will conclude at the Knight of Columbus building with a Gumbo Cook Off and live Entertainment.  4th Annual Food Tasting and Auction on February 3, 2007 The American Cancer Society will also be hosting a 4th Annual Food Tasting and Auction on Saturday February 3, 2007 at the American Legion Hall, Exit 8, Jonesville, La. Doors open at 5:45 PM; Prayer at 6:15 PM.  Cost is only $15.00 advance and $20.00 at the door; $8.00 for children 12 & under.  Don’t miss the fun!   For more info call Jo Jo Monfils at 312-7800.
